Stuart G. Clark

Chairman of the Board

Mr. Clark has served as a Director and Chairman of Rock Energy since January 2004. He was also been a Director and Chairman of Storm Resources Ltd. since June 2010. Prior to that was a Director of Storm Exploration Inc. from June 2004 to August 2010, and a Director and Chairman of Focus Energy Trust until it was sold to Enerplus Resources in February 2008. He is currently Lead Director of Chinook Energy Inc. and has been a Director of that company since June 2009. Mr. Clark was also a Director of Bellamont Exploration Ltd. from November 2009 until that Company was sold to Storm Resources Ltd. in March 2012. He  also serves as a director of a number of private companies.

Mr. Clark is a retired businessman and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) Degree from the University of Manitoba.

Allen J. Bey

President and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Bey has been working in the oil and gas industry since 1982. He co-founded Avid Oil and Gas Ltd. in 1997 and served as President, CEO and Director until it was sold to Husky Energy Ltd. in 2001. Previously, Mr. Bey worked for 14 years with Norcen Energy Resources Ltd. in a variety of engineering, marketing and asset A&D roles.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of British Columbia and is a member of APEGA (Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta).

Robert A. Maitland


Mr. Maitland has been working in the oil and gas industry since 1980. Most recently Mr. Maitland was the Vice President, Finance and Administration and CFO for Fairquest Energy Ltd. and Vice President, Finance and Administration and CFO with Fairborne Energy Ltd.. Mr. Maitland currently acts as a Director for Perpetual Energy Ltd. and GasFrac Energy Services Inc., where he serves as the chairman of the Audit Committees, he also serves as a Director for a number of other private and not-for-profit organizations.

Mr. Maitland has graduated from the Institute of Corporate Directors having completed the Director’s Education Program and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary. He is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Canadian and Alberta Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Richard J. S. Wigington


Mr. Wigington has been working in the oil and gas industry since 1977. He currently has an independent consulting practice that provides corporate, management and geological services in the oil and gas industry. Prior to that Mr. Wigington was a Co-founder, President, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Pinnacle Resources Ltd, and was founder and Executive Chairman of Seventh Energy Ltd. Mr. Wigington was an independent director at Quadron Resources Ltd. and Flowing Energy Ltd. He was also Exploration Manager at Renaissance Energy Ltd.

Mr. Wigington is a registered Professional Geologist with APEGA, and holds a Bachelor of Science, Geology from the University of Calgary, and a Master of Science, Geology from the University of Western Ontario. He is also a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors, and is currently enrolled in their Director’s Education Program.

Frank G. Walsh


Mr. Walsh has well over 30 years’ experience in the oil and natural gas industry, bringing to his role at Rock a strong technical background and drilling success record as well as experience in the full cycle of company formation, growth and monetization. Mr. Walsh is Chief Operating Officer of Questerre Energy Corporation, an emerging oil and gas producer based in Calgary, Alberta.

Prior to joining Questerre in January 2014, he was Vice-President of Engineering and Production with Huron Energy Corp., a company he co-founded in 2004. At Huron he oversaw the successful drilling, completion and tie-in of more than 20 horizontal multi-stage fractured Montney wells. Huron was sold to Tourmaline Oil Corp. in 2012. Mr. Walsh also co-founded Rubicon Energy in 1997, which was focused on the technical Pembina Nisku bank edge play, and before that worked for Jordan Petroleum, Dome Petroleum and Amoco Canada. Mr. Walsh holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree from the Technical University of Nova Scotia (1978) and an MBA from Queen’s University (1984). He is a Professional Engineer and member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta, and currently enrolled in the ICD Directorship program.
